When it comes to children's fancy dress parties it can be difficult to think of something to do. One possibility to consider would be to have a theme that you can work it around. Taking it a step further, you could even get some of the children to help you investigate your singular idea.
There are all manner of things that a party can be based upon. You could set it nearby a singular film that is beloved surrounded by children. That in itself would give you a huge collection of possibilities to select from. It could be based nearby Harry Potter for instance. The kids that are invited would wholly enjoy dressing up as wizards from Hogwarts. The decade in question was home to many different styles and was very diverse. Don't be put off though, this just means that you will have far more choice. You could have a fancy dress party where the children are all dressed in the same style. How about getting all the kids to wear hippie outfits? Have a think back (if you are old enough) to some of the toys and games that you had as a child. You won't have much mystery seeing things like space hoppers in toy shops and they are surprisingly cheap. Maybe you even have some old games that you can dig out of the attic.
